Malik Alston is one of Detroit’s premier producers, performers, vocalists, DJ’s and improvisationists. He produces and spins without boundaries, often fusing a multitude of styles to create a new innovation in sound. He has delighted audiences in the United States and abroad, inviting them into his unique world. Malik is the CEO of his label, Truth Manifest Records, founded in 1997. He continues to be a creative vessel and convey passion in his music, with new and exciting projects soon to be released on Truth Manifest.
ESpleece is a multi-faceted producer/DJ from Detroit, where his sets blur the lines of deep, minimal, disco and funk, creating a late-night vibe that keeps crowds dancing until the sun comes up. His production style is as vast as his track selection, ranging from dance floor jams to downtempo movie scores. ESpleece has hot new releases on deck, including the We Can’t Sleep EP (Exchange Bureau Music) and Sgt. Pepperoni 12″ (Cryovac). He is currently recording new tracks in the studio. ESpleece has brought his eclectic style and mixing vibe to audiences in the United States and around the world, and soon to a dance floor near you.
Javonntte is an accomplished producer, musician and dancer. A native of Detroit, he has been inspired by Herbie Hancock, George Duke, Malik Alston and J Dilla. Artists including Herbie Hancock, Aretha Franklin, George Duke, Chick Corea, Prince, and Nirvana have influenced his sound, which mixes driving dance beats with soul-stirring jazz chords. Javonntte has performed, written and produced with many of Detroit’s finest, including Malik Alston and Amp Fiddler. Javonntte has toured the United States with Aretha Franklin as a principal dancer, and written for artists such as Aretha Franklin, Brandy, and Andre Shepard (Sounds of Blackness). As CEO of Beat Pulse Entertainment, he has released three well-received solo projects, Finger Work (Mogul), Déjà Vu (Beat Pulse) and Groove Addiction (Beat Pulse). Javonntte enjoys performing in multiple realms, traveling to the outer limits of imagination.

Craig Huckaby
Master percussionist, DJ and poet Craig Huckaby enjoys turning audiences on to music from around the world. He began his DJ career in 1986, collecting influential mixtapes from legendary DJ Ken Collier and Farley “Jackmaster” Funk. As a founding member of the DJ collective Rhythmic Fusion, he toured the country in 2009 at full speed, blazing the tables with relentless heat. Craig is a founding member of the DJ collective Central Sessions. A native Detroiter, Craig currently collaborates and performs with many artists including Malik Alston, and is an inventive remixer for Truth Manifest Records. He has a weekly residency at the Funk Loft in Detroit, focused on sharing the love of good music.

We are proud to bring you the exceptional artistry of Sky Covington, for an intoxicating journey into her world of dance and soul. Sky is one of Detroit’s finest interpretive perfomers, fusing cultural touchstones that evoke reflection and joy.
Truth Manifest will present a special treat to start the evening, a listening party of sensual new music from internationally known neo-soul artist Julie Dexter, entitled New Again (Ketch A Vibe Records). A dynamic singer/songwriter, composer and producer hailing from Birmingham, England, Julie Dexter is a world-renowned singer / songwriter who has won numerous international awards. Deeply influenced by legends such as Abbey Lincoln, Billie Holiday and Nancy Wilson, as well as popular icons such as Omar and Sade, Julie takes classic soul to the heart of artistry.
